The Unfinished Story Course Information

Introduction
The Unfinished Story provides an engaging overview of God’s mission, from Genesis through the Gospels and more than two thousand years of the global Christian movement to the present day.
This course is designed to inspire, educate, and challenge God’s people to engage with Him in what is arguably a generation with unprecedented potential for harvest. It helps form a biblical worldview that sees participation in God’s mission as both an exciting adventure and, more importantly, a central part of what it means to follow Jesus.
Content
The Unfinished Story covers four major areas of mission concern.
- Biblical - We discover that the Bible has two main themes:: God's blessing to us through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, and our mandate to be a blessing, carrying on Jesus' redemptive work in the world.
- Historical - God's mission purpose can be seen throughout history. We gain much from studying the past successes and failures of the church in the areas of mission expansion, and applying those principles in our day.
- Strategic - We overview the progress of God's mission in our day and the strategic priorities we must engage as the Church to be part of God's mission.
- Cultural - God created the cultures of the world. We explore the dynamics of crossing cultures to communicate and make disciples in a culture different from our own.
